How is FPS Health Determined?

The CloudStatus service reports FPS health based on the availability of FPS to successfully perform a payment transaction. Metrics reflect the availability and performance of transactions initiated inside and outside the cloud.

FPS Metrics

  • Response Time—The time in seconds to execute a payment transaction as determined by Amazon. The response time does not include round trip time to the FPS service nor the time taken to setup Pay tokens. Because Amazon reports the response time to the nearest second, payments that complete in less than a second will be recorded as zero.

What is Service Health?

The health of an AWS service is an indicator of its current and recent quality of service. Health reflects the availability of a service and the performance of key service operations, invoked from both inside and outside the cloud. Service health is indicated on charts as:

  • Healthy—indicates full health and satisfactory performance
  • Issues—indicates partial health, instances of less than satisfactory performance, or both
  • Service Failure—indicates service not available, or poor health
